A number of people are injured at the Lil’ Durk show in Chicago after a false report of a shooting

An Aurora woman was stabbed and another woman went to the hospital with her two young nephews after unconfirmed reports of gunfire prompted people to run to the exits at the United Center during a concert by rapper Lil Durk.

Aurora, 20, said she was stabbed in the forehead when a fight broke out.

“I’m fine,” the woman told the Sun-Times, adding that she was treated at the scene. “I’m just hurting from the accident.”

Another woman, Christina Holt, 35, said she was taking her two nephews, ages 10 and 11, to their first party when they were injured during a “scramble” of partygoers.

“It was horrible,” she said, “we were all so terrified.” The three spent the night at Rush Medical Center.

Dork was nearing the end of his set when party-goers started running for exits, according to videos posted on social media.

One video showed a People’s Protection Police officer arriving at the scene with a gun, while other videos showed people fighting in the stands. And some videos showed, when people rushed outside, some of them stole goods from an unmanned table.

Lil Durk posted on social media after falsely reporting a shooting at his United Center concert.

Police said in a statement that they were called to the United Center to report a shooting incident but that “the incident was not in good faith. There was no active shooter.”

After the show, Dork posted on social media: “Don’t believe the hype we’re having, thank you Chicago. Whoever stole my merchandise tag so I can report you all crazy…”

The venue said in a statement on Sunday that the United Center is working with authorities to investigate the show’s incidents.

“It became clear to all participants that ending the show early was in everyone’s interest because the safety of our guests and staff is a priority,” the United Center said in its statement. “We are grateful that the initial reports of the accident were wrong and that the guests left the facility safely.”

Your role representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Durke, 30, reportedly canceled most of his tour shows after a medical episode in July, with the exception of shows on Friday and Saturday at the United Centre. He performed solo on Fridays and on Saturdays he was part of WGCI Summer Jam.

Durk, whose real name is Durk Derrick Banks, is the Chicago-born founder of the popular music label Only the Family, which includes other Chicago artists, including the late King Von.
