Jake Paul and Mike Tyson have officially settled on a new date for their highly anticipated boxing bout, which was previously scheduled for July 20, and will now take place on November 15.
Tyson was previously forced to postpone the event due to a medical ulcer that forced him to stop training for the time being.
The fight – which takes place at AT&T Stadium in Dallas – is expected to be contested over eight two-minute rounds, and is now sandwiched between the Cowboys’ two home bouts on November 10 and 18.
“Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training soon. I am grateful to the medical team who treated me and to MVP, Netflix and AT&T Stadium for working diligently to find the best rescheduling date for all parties,” Mike Tyson said, according to a press release.
“While we have a new date, the outcome will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is ejected. And on Friday, November 15, watch this in person at AT&T Stadium or live on Netflix.
“Our team has worked hard with all parties involved to reschedule this huge fight to a date that ensures both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will be fully prepared, with equal training time, as well as allowing us to keep the event at AT&T Stadium in the middle of it,” said Nakisa Bedarian. Co-Founder of Most Valuable Promotions: “From Cowboy Season.”
“We appreciate the outstanding dedication, collaboration and flexibility of our partners at Netflix and AT&T Stadium. Paul vs. Tyson is the most cross-generational sporting event in history, and we are committed to providing fans around the world with this unforgettable night of boxing, live globally on Netflix. We We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday 15th November in a showdown that will be talked about for generations to come.
Tyson, who will turn 58 at the end of June, has been training for the fight since it was announced in early March.
Paul, on the other hand, has been very active as a boxer, having fought once already in 2024 and three times in the last 10 months.
Many were concerned about Tyson’s fitness for the bout, as Paul is in impressive form while boxing legend, Tyson, has not fought professionally since 2005.
The Internet erupted when Tyson posted videos of himself doing shuttle running drills while getting into shape for the bout.
Despite all this, Tyson-Paul is already a sanctioned bout according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR).
Right now, it doesn’t look like the ulcer aggravation will affect the status of this fight until November.
The promotion announced that fans who have already purchased tickets and cannot attend the game now scheduled for November 15 are eligible for refunds.
