An angry McDonald's customer in Boston became so enraged when an employee at the fast-food restaurant touched his drink cap that he punched the hapless worker in the face, police said Sunday.
The fast-food brawl took place around 7 p.m. Saturday at the South Station Transit depot, where the 34-year-old employer, who was not named, punched the worker “several times” for apparent recklessness, Bay Area Transit Police said. Massachusetts. He said on X on Sunday.
The suspect was handcuffed and transported to MBTA Police Headquarters for booking, while the employee was treated at the scene for his injuries, the department said.
Police did not immediately announce further details about the incident.
According to McDonald's employee rules, employees are required to wear gloves and wash their hands regularly at least every hour if they work in the food preparation area at the chain's restaurant outlets.
It's not clear if there are rules about touching food serving containers.
Earlier this month, another McDonald's customer from Rockland County, New York, filed a lawsuit against the fast food giant after claiming a slice of cheese on his burger almost killed him.
Charles Olsen, who has a severe allergy to milk, said he ordered a regular steak, but ended up with the wrong slice of cheese in his meal, which made him upset.
However, Olsen told The Post that he still likes to grab a snack at his neighborhood McDonald's.
