Each tutorial group is composed of non-professional students in different majors of the university (mainly AES, History, Geography, Informatics, Philosophy and Social Sciences), up to a maximum of 28 people.
The course content is fully presented in a brochure format, as well as a corresponding ENT, developed through level coordination. However, academic freedom is guaranteed in conducting the tutorials: it is not mandatory to use the academic material provided, it is only appropriate to include the theme (Discovering Ireland) and the language facts retained for the semester, as the final and solution exam lessons are designed from this program.
Monitoring and correcting these final and make-up exams is not part of the lecturers’ tasks, who are expected to assess their students only as part of continuous assessment, which includes the final exam during the last tutorial for the semester (and not later part. end of classes).
Classes will start on the week of Monday 16th September and end on the week of Monday 16th December. A week off on Monday, October 28.
The general conditions for the recruitment of lecturers apply to all universities (under 67 years of age, doctorate holder, a major private employer with a certificate, or a public employer with accreditation for accumulation or self-employed for at least three years).
DDs’ pay is the national framework (€43.5/hour total).
Second semester (first week of which starts on Monday January 27) courses can also be applied for among the slots offered.
