Eminem releases new album “The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)”

Eminem has hammered the final nail into the coffin of his alter ego. The singer’s 12th studio album Death of Salim Shadi (Mercy Strike) It has arrived.

Eminem had been brutalizing Slim Shady and trying to dismantle him for weeks before the album’s release. In the music video for “Toby,” he dismembered his infamous alter ego with a chainsaw. His other shots at Slim have been less egregious. In May, Eminem published a fake obituary in the Detroit Free Press mourning what he called the character’s “tortured existence.”

“His complex and tormented life has come to an end, and the legacy he leaves behind is no closer to resolution than the way he left this world,” the obituary read.

“A Detroit native, Shady began his career there as a rogue in the burgeoning rap scene of the mid-to-late ’90s, first becoming a household name in 1999 with his insane single “My Name Is,” which—along with a unique, eye-catching video—exposed the young artist and his lyrics to a wider audience,” the statement continued. “Ultimately, the seemingly innocuous objects he wielded became calling cards that defined an existence that could only come to an abrupt and horrific end.”

The memorial ceremony concluded: “We ask God to find true peace in the afterlife that he did not find on earth.”
