CA Prive officially announced the transfer of English third row Courtney Laws. The Northampton player will join Correze “in the coming months” and remains committed until 2026.
“You've been waiting for it, and now it's signed”: it was with these words that CA Prive announced the arrival of the English legend to his supporters. Courtney Laws (35 years) and his commitment till 2026. For almost a month we have been announcing highly advanced communications and an oral agreement, the Northampton player signed his contract with the Corrèze club this Friday. He has 105 caps for England (and 5 with the British Lions) so could wear the black and white tunic next season. Winner of three 6-Nation tournaments (2016, 2017 and 2020), he also finished second (2019) and third (2023) at the World Cup with XV de la Rose. The British contestant is eager to start her new adventure: “I can't wait to join CA Brive next season and give everything I have for this amazing rugby club. I still have the soul of a great competitor and want to continue to progress in this new chapter of my career. Future success for CAB.”

This is as much as the Privist Board was able to list. Los is a versatile player, opting for different profiles but always with impressive quality. His 2m01 and his agility make him a great jumper, but he's also very tough on men and promising in defensive assignments. Add to that the ease with the ball in hand and you get an international third row who will benefit from experience at a Pro D2 club (or top 14 next season). At the age of 35, he announced his international retirement ahead of the third-place finish at the World Cup in France, so Prive will devote himself fully to the adventure. “It is a real satisfaction to add a player of this caliber to our squad for next season, Manager Pierre-Henry Broncan explained. Courtney is a leader and, above all, a great competitor. He will have a real role to play with the club's young players, as he is one of those players who don't need to be thanked for the exemplary nature he displays both at work and on the pitch. We are delighted to welcome him and his family,” he said.
CA Prive plays Valence-Romans on Friday evening in its 21st day of Pro D2.
