Will he do it or not?
Jason Kelce called a press conference at 1pm on Monday to announce his decision on whether or not he will retire.
“No Keg videos this year, I have come to a decision and will talk about it at a press conference this afternoon,” Kelsey posted to X.
The 13-year-old NFL center and future Hall of Famer played his entire career with the Eagles after being taken in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
There have been multiple reports of this Kelce told his teammates he was retiring In an emotional locker room scene after the team's 32-9 wild-card loss to the Buccaneers.
However, Kelce later clarified that his post-match comments had been misunderstood and that he was taking time to consider his options.
“I didn’t announce what I was doing on purpose, despite what was leaked to the media,” an emotional Jason told Brother Travis on the Jan. 17 episode of the brothers’ “New Heights” radio show.
“I don't think you're in a position after a game like this to really make that decision. I don't. There's too much emotion at the moment, there's too much going on at the moment to really fully comprehend. This decision.”
Since then, Jason has spent the rest of the NFL postseason following Travis and the Chiefs' Super Bowl run — starting with an epic shirtless performance in Buffalo and ending with a masked Super Bowl celebration in Las Vegas.
Jason has made seven Pro Bowls and was a key part of the team's Super Bowl LII win over the Patriots in 2018.
However, if Kelce plays his last snap, his career will end bitterly with the Eagles collapsing at the end of the season.
Philadelphia lost five of its last six games before defeating Tampa Bay in the playoffs.
“I don't know. I'm trying to figure it out now,” Kelsey said recently on the “Superfly” podcast.
“Right now, I'm exploring different opportunities if I end up retiring. I'm still training and keeping fit if I end up playing again.
Kelce met with TV executives from Fox and ESPN before the Super Bowl, according to Front Office Sports, and the charisma he displayed on his podcast seemed to make him a natural fit for television.
Jason and his wife Kylie have three daughters together.
