The theme for the biggest fashion event of the year, The Met Gala, for spring 2024 has been revealed.

The first Monday in May is on its way.
The Met Gala on Thursday announced its dress code and celebrity co-chairs, including Latin music star Bad Bunny, actress and singer Jennifer Lopez, “Euphoria” actress and Hollywood star Zendaya and “Thor” himself, Chris Hemsworth, who will join him. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
This marks Hemsworth's first Met Gala, while Bad Bunny has been on duty three times. Zendaya has appeared at the gala five times while Lopez has a whopping 13 flights down the Met Gala steps under her belt. The Met Gala, an annual charity gala for the museum's Costume Institute that blends fashion with pop culture icons and power players, has raised more than $223.5 million for the institute.
On May 6, celebrities will grace the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for this year's exhibition theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Fashion Again.” Honorary chairs are Loewe Creative Director Jonathan Anderson And TikTok CEO Xu Ziqiu. TikTok is the official sponsor of the gala this year, with support from Loewe.

When is the Met Gala?
The 2024 Met Gala will take place on May 6. The exhibition will be open to the public from May 10 to September 2, 2024.
Last year's Met Gala celebrated the late designer Karl Lagerfeld, who was Chanel's longtime creative director at the time of his death.
Celebrities like Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Cardi B, Serena Williams, Usher, Jared Leto and Doja Cat walked the red carpet.
What is the dress code for the Met Gala 2024?
This year's dress code is “Garden of Time.”
“More modern, less delicate pieces imbued with the same spirit of lit fashion will be displayed alongside them, and will be divided into three sub-themes: land, sea and sky,” Vogue wrote.
“Think sad flowers (moody flowers aren't moody enough).” The magazine also said.

This year's dress code will align with the previously revealed theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Fashion Again.”
Museum curators said that “Sleeping Beauty” is not inspired by Disney princesses, but instead, the precious clothes in the museum's collection are so fragile that they need to be placed in special glass “coffins” instead of on mannequins. The clothes are scheduled to be displayed in a series of exhibitions organized by nature themes.
