The South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) announced that the 2024 Copa America will be held in 14 stadiums spread across 10 different regions in the United States.
The tournament will be held from June 20 to July 14, 2024, and will be played in 10 states on the East Coast, Central Region and West Coast.
The opening match is scheduled to take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, and the final match is scheduled to be held at the famous Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Alejandro Domínguez, President of CONMEBOL and Vice President of FIFA, expressed his excitement about the upcoming event, saying: “We will have an unforgettable experience at Copa America, enjoying the best football in the world in 14 wonderful stadiums.
“The passion for football will travel this great country from east to west and from north to south, bringing emotion and fun to hundreds of thousands of fans in the stadiums and millions of other spectators around the world.”
Victor Montagliani, President of CONCACAF and Vice President of FIFA, added: “The stadiums are world-class and have passionate fans who are known for supporting major events.
“The exciting prospect of co-hosting the 2024 Copa America with our CONMEBOL partners, as well as the variety of CONCACAF competitions we will offer over the next three years, will cement our region as a global football hub ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.”
There will be a total of 32 matches featuring 16 teams – 10 from CONMEBOL and six from CONCACAF.
