CM Punk returns to WWE

CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023 amid widespread speculation in the build-up. Punk appeared after the main event of the men’s WarGames.

WWE added to the drama, rumors and innuendo by teasing that Randy Orton will not be at Survivor Series. In a backstage segment, Sami Zayn told Jey Uso that Randy Orton wasn’t here yet, leading to loud “CM Punk” chants from the Allstate Arena. The fans cheered for Punk throughout the men’s WarGames match. Ultimately, Orton appeared to return to WWE, which was jeopardized by wrestling rumors. With CM Punk long gone from AEW, speculation about his return to WWE came to a head at Survivor Series in Chicago, Punk’s hometown. Fans have been analyzing every angle of CM Punk’s potential return, and the rumors are heating up thanks to a series of WWE Easter eggs.

Meltzer, a notorious waffler, went on to add that anything is possible.

The buzz around CM Punk has become very prominent, as current and former WWE Superstars have found themselves answering questions about Punk’s potential return.
