Two years after the announcement of the resurrection of the Alvis name, the first production car was completed. This is the Greber Super Cup sequel.
The Cropper Super Cup is the first of six models produced by Alvis Car Company, featuring pre-war and post-war designs. The plot uses all the aluminum body, true to the original design, and the original chassis. Each car is measured and the package is created from the original designs.
The shots are powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six engine that uses a stock block, but features modern digital machining processes for injection, high compression ratio and tight endurance.
The result is a more powerful engine than it was in the 1960s. With 174 hp, it was even 43 hp more than it was at the time. It has a higher torque than the old car, 283 Nm. Performance is far from current with 0 at 96 km / h in 8.9 seconds.
The next cars to be rebuilt were the pre-war Grabber Cabriolet and Lansfield chassis 4.3. Both are expected in 2022, and all three Alvis models will go into production, particularly the Park Ward Drophead, the Wandon Plus Tourer and the Bertelli Cup.
The first car, along with four others, goes to Japan, where the brand’s exclusive dealers can buy it at very low prices, starting with the Grabber Super Cup 323,000.
