Stock up, then the stock is down after a preseason game against the Colts – NBC Sports Philadelphia

The Eagles ended their pre-season with a 27-13 loss to the Colts on Thursday night at the Link.

They will have to reach 53 players via final cuts at 4pm on Tuesday.

Before that happens, here’s your last stock watch for the summer:

QB Tanner Maki

For the third week in a row, Mackey’s numbers won’t amaze you. He completed 19 of 34 passes for 158 yards. But he again looked the part. Up against the Colts’ starting quarterbacks in the first half, McKee wasn’t afraid to try some really hard throws and continually dropped them in the bucket. I’ve been impressed all summer.

Olp Patrick Johnson

After missing a lot of time this summer with an ankle injury, Johnson has done some work against the Colts’ starting offensive line and has looked fine. He had some good rushes and put some pressure on first round pick Anthony Richardson. In the second half, Johnson got some repeats off the ball. Not sure what to make of it.

WR Devon Allen

After putting out the opening kickoff, Allen returned it 73 yards to set up the Eagles’ first drive on the Colts’ 27-yard line. Allen has also shown his speed as a gunner on the punt team. If he was in the 53-man roster, he’d be a really strong gunner.

LB Terrick Madox-Williams

The Timber Creek and Rutgers producer was all over the field Thursday night. After signing with the Eagles on Saturday, Maddox Williams was intercepted, which he returned 42 yards. He also had 7 tackles, 2 PBUs, and a TFL.

DT Olive Sagapolo

I had to check my roster a few times to see who the No. 66 is. It’s Sagapolo, who doesn’t have a legitimate chance of making the roster stacked but did put up some good bars on Thursday. He even drew a penalty on perennial Pro Bowl guard Quinton Nelson in the first half.

CB Eli Rex

A UDFA cornerback took a slight hit in the first half and needed a midsection check out of it. But he came back and had an excellent series against the Colts receivers. He had great coverage of consecutive plays against Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pearce. Rex has a real chance to join the 53-man roster.

TE Tyree Jackson

The bad news for Jackson was that Dallas Goodert, Jack Stoll and Grant Calcaterra were all dressed in street clothes to watch Thursday’s game, likely indicating that they had made the roster. But Jackson could still survive. He had a nice game, finishing with 3 catches for 31 yards. He sure looks the part.

Low stock

De Janarius Robinson

Robinson has had some stealing plays this summer but has been tough on optional play, had a neutral zone violation and missed multiple sacks in the second half. In general, his play has been somewhat inconsistent this summer. There are other high profile players who seem to be well ahead of him for a final spot on the roster.

First Josh Sales

When Seals returned to the Eagles this summer, he was promptly sacked from the team’s second offense at left guard. But he struggled hard in last week’s game and didn’t see the field until the third quarter of this game. His position on the list is in grave danger.

WR Joseph Ngata

The UDFA made some great catches on Thursday, but one thing coaches hate is when a player puts the ball on the turf. Nagata did so in the second quarter to kill off what looked like a promising drive for Maki and the offense.

The Eagles cut Ty Zentner last week but Siposs is still fighting to keep his job. On Thursday, he kicked three times. His kicks went 49, 44 and 42 yards for an average of 45 yards. But his third kick rose just over 30 yards in the air before making a generous turn. The Eagles must continue to keep an eye on other gamblers that become available.

CB Mario Goodrich

At first glance, Godric not playing Thursday night might seem like a positive. But the sophomore cornerback suffered a groin injury and also missed practice on Tuesday. For a guy fighting for a spot on the list, playing this game could have helped him cement his place.
