In fact, 14 years ago, the “English Program” system was born on a purely experimental basis with a few classes. A few years later, this principle spread to today’s 76 Dionysian schools, from the Great Sect to CE1.

This innovative educational program aims to introduce young children to English, using a playful approach to the language through games, drawings and nursery rhymes. Educational materials for every level are available to speakers in the form of English books to provide all the tools for the good development of children.

Thanks to the English program, nearly 6,000 students benefit from exposure to the English language each year. Therefore, during the Meridian break, all Dionysian students from the large nursery section to CE1 can learn to practice the most spoken language in the world. For larger groups, 30-minute workshops are scheduled weekly in groups of 8 to 10 students. For CP and CE1, 45 minute to one hour workshops are scheduled every week in groups of 10 to 12 students.

Saint-Denis, a citizen city, uses this exceptional system, bringing together almost 170 local speakers and about fifteen international students each year, thanks to the partnership between the city, Les Petits Bilingues and Reunion University.

In a desire to always encourage citizen participation, the city encourages the dissemination and sharing of the knowledge and knowledge of the city’s residents to Dionysian schoolchildren and schoolchildren.
