June “Mama June” Shannon helps her daughter Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell amidst her cancer diagnosis – though there isn’t much of a relationship between the two.

“John and Anna had been slowly working to rebuild their relationship for about a year, but Anna’s recent stage 4 adrenal cancer diagnosis quickly brought the couple closer,” a family source says. TMZ said Sunday.

The source added that Mama June is “going forward” to care for her daughter after she was diagnosed with stage four cancer — including going to doctor’s appointments together.

The source added, “June knew right away that she had to be there for her daughter after the diagnosis, and feels like the past is in the past.” “She is now doing everything she can to help, including watching Anna’s children.”

A Cardwell representative did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The mother and daughter had initially broken up two years ago after June, 43, dated Mark McDaniel in 2021. John and McDaniel have since separated and married Justin Stroud in a secret courtroom wedding in May 2022.

The mother-daughter relationship had previously been strained, but that changed when Cardwell learned of her health journey.

Cardwell, 28, seemed to approve of Stroud, as she walked her mom down the aisle at her second wedding in February.

Late last month, Cardwell’s younger sister, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, confirmed speculation that her older sister was secretly battling cancer.

“And that’s what I mean when I say you never really know what someone is going through at home. No matter how famous they are,” Alana wrote via her Instagram Story on March 30.

The former “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star added that people “need to realize” that despite her being “so famous,” “normal happens” to her and her family.

Cardwell has since undergone chemotherapy and revealed that she lost her hair in “pieces” after just one treatment.

The reality TV personality first learned of her health battle in January after she underwent tests for severe stomach pain.
