National Signing Day Updates: 2023 recruits, commit

The 2023 College Football recruiting cycle is coming to a close with National Signing Day. Wednesday is the last day that high school recruits are able to sign their National Letters of Intent to lock them up at the schools of their choice.

The early signing period in December brought a lot of chaos. Three five-star recruits flipped commitments in one week – one flipped commitments twice in two days.

Since then, though, some coaches have been considering the possibility of changing the recruiting calendar. In early January, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey told reporters, “There hasn’t been a coach I’ve visited around our tournament games that hasn’t said this has become overwhelming for us.”
