Midtown, Manhattan (WABC) – The Empire State Building was in the Eagles’ colors Sunday after Philadelphia won the NFC Championship — and Twitter was sent into a full frenzy.
An image was posted to the Empire State Building’s Twitter account Sunday with the caption, “Fly Eagles are flying” — it says the tower’s lights were green and white in honor of the Eagles’ victory.
The New York Giants took to Twitter, saying they are “only here for feedback.”
Even the New York City Department of Sanitation had something to say
The official New York City Buildings account expressed their disappointment
Others also took to Twitter to express their outrage
Then the Empire State Building lit up in front of the Kansas City Chiefs after they won the AFC Championship, saying the Eagles’ green-and-white lighting hurt us more than it did you.
