Sebastian Doss continues his exploration of 17th-century English literature with his collection of letters.

During his concerts at the Auditorium du Louvre and the Théâtre de Cannes, Sébastien Doss, conductor of the ensemble Letters, will be the guest of the Classical Newspaper this Monday, January 2 at 8 p.m.

Sebastian Doss illuminates an essential period in the history of English music

After recreating Cupid and the Deathly Hallows in a tasteful show, Sébastien Doss continues to explore the 17th-century English collection with his Ensemble Letters. He has given us a remarkable recording of the opera, Harmonia Mundi mental illness Written by Matthew Locke and highlighting the sacred pages of Henry Cooke, Pelham Humphrey and John Plough this Friday at the Louvre Auditorium and Saturday at the Théâtre de Cannes. This evening he will explain to us an essential period in the history of English music, marked by many innovations in the sacred and secular domains and strongly influenced by France. The concert will bring together composers from Charles II’s reign, such as Pierre Robert and Henri du Mont, who wrote for Louis XIV’s royal chapel.
