New Speaker for English Lessons in the Guipawas duo – Guipawas

The city of Guipavas is connected to the municipalities of Callington in Cornwall and Barsbüttel in Germany: therefore there is a double group. The latter offers weekly English lessons, in addition to regular accommodation.

Level wise courses

Classes resumed on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, with one small change: new speaker Corinne Breck is taking over the leadership of the sessions. These are different sessions depending on the “English level” of the participants: “The Tuesday class is designed for what we call ‘false beginners’, because they have a basic knowledge of English, but need help to get back on the road,” says president Jean-Jacques Morvan. The course combines written and reading assignments, oral comprehension and conversational moments.

For Wednesday’s lesson, the level of participants is high: “The emphasis will be on speaking and everyday conversation, while not forgetting writing and reading”, notes the new speaker.

From London to America

The latter is an employee of the ORB (Brest Pensioners Office) and therefore intervenes in two associations, “for now, because I want to do other things”, adds the one who, at 18, left France to study in London. “Then I lived in America, then in different places around the world. I came back to France nine years ago.

For those interested, places are available for both courses and a trial session is possible.

Training:

Classes are Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 6:15pm to 7:45pm, Espace Simone-Weilin Room 2.
