The first edition of the Marrakech English Book Festival, “Marrakech English Book Festival”, will be held from November 25 to 27.
The press release of the festival association states that the event is organized in collaboration with “British Business Association”, “British Moroccan Society”, “British Academy School”, Gadi Ayyat University, Calliope Bookstore and other partners. In this first session, distinguished British authors and letter writers such as Richard Hamilton, James van Leyden, Sayeda Rouas, Barnaby Rogerson and two translators Lulu Norman and Marcia Lynx Gwali and Lebanese writer Anisa Helou will be welcomed.
“If for most international speakers, Marrakech is the ideal residence or place of inspiration for their literary works or historical works, the Moroccan participants, for their part, are writers who have chosen English as their language of study. whose writings are presented in Shakespeare’s language. For example, Mahi Benebein, Houda Elfchtali, Yassin Adnan and Amina. We will quote Hachimi Alaoui”, underlines the same source. The report concludes that the festivities of this edition will take over many places in the city, such as Dar Bellarj, Dar Serifah, World Storytelling Cafe and the Arab House.
