|Leading B2B magazine and digital publisher, Westwick-Farrow Media added a 5th channel to its IT and communications title Voice+Data with the launch this week of their first iPad and iPhone app. The app is available free from Apple's App Store and was created by digital magazine technology company, Texterity Inc.
Voice+Data is a genuine multi-channel information source for IT and comms professionals. Readers can access content when and how they choose, whether it be via the print magazine, the digital eMag, the website, the eNewsletter or the new app. "The app is an important and vital next step in our multi-channel publishing journey, and we are looking forward to introducing some new readers to Voice+Data through this new channel" Publisher, Geoff Hird announced.
"We have watched the rapid rise of tablet and mobile content consumption from across the Pacific in the past year and it is really starting to take off at home now, so it's important we provide the options of new channels to our readers as and when they open up." Hird added.
While Voice+Data continues to launch on new media platforms, its roots are strong, with the print magazine still being requested daily by new subscribers. The magazine has a CAB audit of over 7000 readers as of March this year, with 92 per cent of the circulation being ‘verified recipients'.
"We are very encouraged by the number of qualified readers who continue to request the print magazine, confirming to us that print is far from dead. And with our multi-channel strategy we are actually seeing solid growth in the total Voice+Data audience." Hird stated.
Westwick-Farrow Media currently publishes digital versions of two of their nine magazine titles, and this is their first app. Four new digital versions are set to launch this quarter, with more apps planned for later in the year, including android versions.
