|Finalists in the NZ Magazine Awards 2010 competition, run by the NZ Magazine Publishers Association (MPA) have now been determined, after scoring by 36 judges from across New Zealand and Australia.
Judges reported that most entries were of a high standard, so deciding which ones qualified for the final round (i.e. achieved scores of 75 per cent or higher) was tough. The 2010 competition (now in its 14th year) had a record of number of entrants.
Entries included published work from over 65 different Titles; many appearing in the Australian and New Zealand markets with some distributed in international markets.
Of these, 52 different Titles are represented in the Finalist list. Of 33 different businesses and independent journalists that entered the 2010 Magazine Awards, 25 businesses qualified as Finalists.
The winners presentation dinner will be held at the Rendezvous Hotel, Auckland on Thursday 24th June, with MC Raybon.
Two special Supreme award winners will be announced at the gala presentation evening: Supreme Editor of the Year and Supreme Magazine of the Year. Finalists for the two Supreme awards are the category winners for Editor of the Year, and for Magazine of the Year.
