Many publishers have already signed up to exhibit at the 10th Worldwide Magazine Marketplace (WMM).
The magazine licensing, syndication and joint-venture event, an International Federation of the Periodical Press (FIPP) initiative, will take place on 16-17 September in São Paulo, Brazil. Many publishing companies have already registered to attend, including: BBC Worldwide, Editions Jalou, Editoriale Domus, Future, G+J, Haymarket, Interactive Publishing, Meredith Corporation, Mondadori, Online Cloner, RCS and Royal Group International.
The two day event will involve a series of meetings between publishers, who will look to license their titles in new territories. The event will also host a number of workshops, where attendees can learn from some of the world's most experienced publishers about the practicalities and pitfalls of licensing, joint-venturing, online publishing and syndication. The workshops give real advice on the technological, logistical, financial and legal aspects of strategic alliances within publishing.
WMM also offers a diary system for registered attendees, who can arrange meetings before they arrive, saving valuable meeting time at the event.
