FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME), the commercial and brand extension arm of FremantleMedia, and News Magazines, have announced the launch a new food and lifestyle guide for home cooks and lovers of great food and dining - MasterChef Magazine.
Embracing the success of the MasterChef Australia television program, MasterChef Magazine will launch as a monthly glossy publication in May, 2010.
Ben Liebmann, FME Senior Vice President - Licensing, sees the magazine as the ultimate brand extension for the program. "MasterChef Magazine is consistent with our ambition to take MasterChef from one of the country's most loved television shows to one of the leading food and lifestyle brands in Australia."
"Our plan has always been to work with the best in the business. News Magazines is the market leader in food publications and we couldn't be happier with their understanding of the MasterChef brand, and their shared passion and commitment to establishing the magazine and ensuring its ongoing success."
Sandra Hook, chief executive officer, News Magazines, sees this partnership as a natural fit with the company's portfolio food titles. "We are the home of the best food publishing talent in the country and look forward to working with FremantleMedia to develop MasterChef Magazine."
"Trudi Jenkins, editor-in-chief of Delicious and Vogue Entertaining + Travel, will be leading the editorial team for this new publication," says Ms Hook.
"I'm excited to be working with FremantleMedia on the launch of MasterChef Magazine," says Ms Jenkins.
"We will have exclusive access to key personalities and elements of the television show. We will also feature national and international chefs as well as incorporating lifestyle and travel stories," says Ms Jenkins.
