Entries for the 2009, Publishers Australia Excellence Awards, the Bell Awards are now open.
The 2009 Awards are being held at the all new "green friendly" Doltone House venue on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour. A venue which provides stunning harbour views and forms part of the first 6-star ‘green building' in NSW.
Publishers Australia has streamlined the awards categories down to 25, and ensured that the awards more fully recognise excellence across all facets of B2B, B2C, Custom titles and Digital publishing, for members and associates. James O'Loghlin returns as the celebrity MC for the afternoon and entertainment will be provided by multi-award winning three-piece combo Venus Music.
This year there will be one official award entry form for each category and only require one set of supporting criteria (samples, substantiation etc) instead of three sets as was the case in 2008, to make entering a whole lot easier. Entries can be submitted online or via the post.
The winner of the prestigious 2009 Magazine of the Year will be selected from one of the winners in categories 1 to 3: Best Business-to-Business Magazine of the Year; Best Consumer Magazine of the Year; Best Custom Magazine of the Year.
There is a new award for the overall Designer of the Year and there's also a new ‘gong' that recognises an exceptional contribution to the industry by an individual - ‘The Pinnacle Award'. It will be awarded by the board of Publishers Australia, and is free to enter.
Entries close 5pm Friday the 9th of October 2009.
